10K
The Middle Distance
The 10K starts at 5:55 a.m. and offers a middle distance for runners who want more than a short outing without taking on a half marathon. The published route moves through downtown Kingston, including Water Lane’s Artwalk, before returning toward the finish on Port Royal Street. The minimum age is 10.
A 10K can be an excellent way to share race weekend with friends of different abilities. You still get the early start, reggae along the route, and time at the Finish Line Bash.
5K
The Shorter Loop
The 5K begins at 6 a.m. Its shorter loop includes streets around the waterfront and downtown before returning to the Port Royal Street finish. It is open to entrants aged 10 and older.
If you are new to organised running, the 5K is a welcoming way into the event’s atmosphere. It also leaves more of Sunday, December 6 free for breakfast, recovery, and exploring Kingston.
What About the Full Marathon?
Virtual Options for 2026
The event’s virtual 2026 programme includes a 42.2-kilometre marathon, along with virtual half-marathon, 10K and 5K options. The virtual running period is listed as November 16 through December 6, 2026. A virtual marathon is not a marked, supported full-marathon course through Kingston. If a live 26.2-mile race is the reason you would travel, do not register expecting one in 2026.
